Last August, I was blessed to go to Christy Wright’s Business Boutique. It was an amazing weekend and I learned so much. Now I was expecting to learn about business and finances, but I have to admit, I was surprised at how much I was encouraged in my spiritual walk. It even motivated me to start encouraging my own daughters with some Scriptures.
During one of the sessions, we were reminded how much God thinks of and loves us. As women and girls, we often struggle with our self-worth. The world is constantly telling us to compare ourselves with others, that we will never make it, or that we are not good, pretty, or smart enough. But our Lord says we are worth so much more. We are more than conquerers. We are children of God-His workmanship.
But as women, oh how often we forget. And even more so, our young daughters forget. They (we) need to be reminded. They (we) need to hear-daily-of our Father’s love for us. But how, as moms, can we help them hear? How can we remind them?
One simple way is to write it on their mirror. What do I mean? I’m writing one Scripture on my girl’s bathroom mirror each week this year. I’ve already planned out 52 encouraging Scriptures to write out each week on their mirror. Many of these Scripture will apply to my son as well, but some are specific to my girls. I’ll write a new Scripture on their bathroom mirror each week so they see it every time they get ready or go to the bathroom. And I’ll be getting it in my mind by writing and seeing it as well.
I’ve typed up all the Scripture references, planning out the entire year. (I’ve tried to focus on themes that coincide with events in the year-like verses that focus on God’s love for us in February.) I want you to be able to encourage the young women in your life (or maybe yourself), so I’m sharing this printable with you for FREE! Just enter your email in the form to have it delivered to you. I hope it encourages you as much as I’m praying it does us.
Looking forward to an encouraged year!
