I don’t know about you, but I just love getting things in the mail, especially when it’s something I’ve had to wait awhile for. And yesterday, I got my kefirko in the mail! Y’all I’ve been waiting on this thing since last November! Oh, and I’m one of the first people to own one of these little babies. (Can you tell I’m excited?)
Now your probably asking, what is a kefirko and why have you been waiting 9 months on it? Well, I’m glad you asked. A kefirko is a handy little jar that makes kefir-making oh so easy, fun, and cool looking. Of course, if you’ve seen my post or video on kefir, you know how easy it is to make (and how healthy it is). But this little jar has a built in strainer lid, measuring cup for your grains, and sealing lid. You can use it to make milk kefir, water kefir (which I hope to start in the fall), and even to sprout seeds. How’s that for multi-functional! And yeah, it just looks super cool sitting on the counter.
I saw the idea for kefirko on kickstarter and thought it was a really good idea, so I backed them. And yeah, that was last November, so I’ve had to wait through the whole testing and manufacturing process. But alas, good things come to those who wait. And my good thing came in the mail yesterday. Of course, I put it right to use this morning and I’ll keep y’all updated on how well it works and if it’s really worth it. (I have to admit, I really have high hopes for this thing, so I’ll be surprised if I decide it’s not.)
